Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

GLIChat is a live chat, help desk and messaging service at glichat.com, operated by Philio Holding, LLC ("we", "us"). Businesses use GLIChat to talk with visitors on their websites, answer support tickets, and reply to messages sent to their Facebook Pages through Messenger. This policy explains what information GLIChat handles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible for your information

  • If you chat with a business that uses GLIChat (on its website, by email, or through its Facebook Page), that business decides what happens to your conversation. GLIChat stores and processes it on the business's behalf, as its service provider. For questions about how a specific business uses your information, contact that business. You can also contact us, and we will help.
  • If you are a GLIChat customer or one of its team members, we are responsible for your account information.

Information we handle

From people who chat with a business

  • What you choose to share: your name, email address, phone number, the messages you send, files you attach, and any rating or comment you leave after a chat.
  • Technical details, collected automatically when you use a website chat window: IP address, browser and device type, language, the pages you view on that website, how you arrived there (for example, from a search engine), and an approximate location (city and country) based on your IP address.
  • Through Facebook Messenger: when you message a business's Facebook Page that is connected to GLIChat, Meta sends us your messages and attachments, the time they were sent, and an ID that identifies you to that Page. If Meta provides them, we also receive your name and profile picture. We use this only to show your conversation to that business and to deliver its replies to you.

From GLIChat customers and their team members

  • Account details: names, email addresses, roles, sign-in records, and settings.
  • Phone numbers that team members add to receive text-message alerts.
  • Records of how the service is used, such as chat counts, response times, and AI usage, which make up reports and daily summary emails.
  • Billing information, when paid plans and credit packs are purchased. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

From people who join our early access list

  • Your email address, and if you provide them, your name and website, plus your IP address (used to prevent spam sign-ups). We use this only to contact you about GLIChat early access, and we delete it on request.

How we use information

  • To deliver conversations between businesses and their customers on website chat, email, tickets and Messenger.
  • To show the business's team the information it needs to help you, such as which page you were on or which language you speak.
  • To send notifications the business has set up, such as missed-chat alerts and daily summary emails.
  • To provide AI features the business turns on (see below).
  • To keep the service secure: preventing spam and abuse, and blocking harmful visitors.
  • To maintain and improve GLIChat, and to provide support.
  • To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

AI features

Businesses can turn on AI features such as translation, suggested replies, polishing a reply, and conversation summaries. When a business uses one of these features, the relevant message text is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the result. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this content is not used to train its AI models. AI features are optional, and each business controls whether they are on.

Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to run GLIChat:

  • The business you are communicating with and its authorized team members.
  • Service providers that help us operate GLIChat: our hosting provider, email delivery, text-message delivery (ClickSend), our AI provider (Anthropic), and Meta, for conversations through Messenger. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
  • Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public, or GLIChat.
  • Business transfers: if Philio Holding, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, under this policy's protections.

Cookies and similar technology

The chat window uses cookies and browser storage that are needed for it to work, for example to keep your conversation open as you move between pages. The GLIChat desk uses them to keep team members signed in and to remember their settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep information

  • Chats and tickets are kept until the business deletes them or closes its GLIChat account. Each business can also choose a shorter period in its GLIChat settings.
  • When a business or a person deletes information, it is removed from GLIChat within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed within 90 days, as those backups expire.
  • When a business closes its GLIChat account, its data is deleted within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Security

We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage of sensitive keys and access tokens, role-based access for each business's team, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the information entrusted to us.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information. If you chatted with a business, you can ask that business directly, or contact us and we will pass your request to the business and help it respond. Depending on where you live (for example, California, other U.S. states, the European Union, or the United Kingdom), you may have additional rights under local law, such as receiving a copy of your information or objecting to certain uses. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

To ask for your information to be deleted, follow the steps on our Data Deletion page.

Children

GLIChat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through GLIChat, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will let GLIChat customers know before they take effect.
